Local Business is Thanked for Helping Habitat for Humanity.

On Wednesday February 15, 2006 Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County, PA presented a plaque to employees of Prompton Tools, Inc. This Special Certificate of Appreciation went to the employees of Prompton Tools for working at the HFHWC building site called Canaan Meadows. Martin Rollison the owner of Prompton Tools made arrangements with HFHWC to have the employees work at the building site during a couple of their normal work days in August of 2005. Susan Rollison said "The guys really felt good about working at the site and that they learned a lot about construction".

House # 10 Dedicated

Despite the snowy weather; Volunteers, Habitat Board members, Family members and one anxious family were finally able to have the dedication for Wayne Counties 11th Habitat Home. On Sunday, February 12th Rev. Ryan Krause presented the keys for the house to Alicia Samson the new owner. Alicia and her two daughters Tatiana age 13 and Irina age 17 are the newest residents of Canaan Meadows.

House # 9 Re-Dedicated

The Ninth Habitat for Humanity home in Wayne County was Re-dedicated on Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. The Smith Family (Joseph and Jessica with their 3 children Taylor, Joey and Halle) were given the keys to their new home in Canaan Meadows by HFHWC President Mark Graziadio.

This home was originally dedicated in January 25, 2004 to the Roldan family, that have since moved back to Harrisburg. HFHWC was fortunate enough to purchase the home back from the Roldans, so that a home could be provided to our new Partner family.
